These are two of the 24 paper pieced kaleidoscope blocks in the Kaleidoscope Block of the Month series. Each month two blocks were published. Use each block individually and repeat it or make all 24 into a sampler quilt. Each set of two blocks is $2.50, while all 24 blocks is $25, saving you $5.

Fabric requirements vary by block. The entire sampler quilt is made using 5 yards of background fabrics and 8 yards of various colors. I used two tones of orange, two tones of lime/lemon, two tones of teal and two tones of purple with a cream background. You won't use all of this yardage, but it allows you to switch out your fabrics as you see fit. You can use the remaining fabric as part of a pieced backing or a coordinating pillow.
